The dumps are located in the southern end of the lake. It is handy to have the GPS in case you don’t have a Canadian fishing license you don’t want to go over the boarder accidentally and fish without it. Here is a link to a St. Clair Chart. Follow the US/CAN boarder and you will see it on the chart.

CAMPING. Lake St Clair boasts unspoilt provincial camping, including 11 powered camp sites and 38 hectares of unpowered camp space. There is a concrete boat ramp (accessible at all water levels), electric and wood-fired barbeques as well as toilets and shower block and camp kitchen.
8/27/2007 · The Dumping Grounds are located near (2-4 miles) the start of the Detroit River, straight east from Grosse Point, in the black dashed rectangle shown on the map above. I would imagine tubes would be the recommended bait if you’re inquiring about smallmouth. Tight lines,, 7/16/2011 · Fished the Dumping Grounds Saturday evening.Kept 3 nice walleye 19-20 inchers and 8 nice 9 inch perch.Caught about 20 or so dinks and 3 or 4 smallies.Kept quiet busy and had a blast.Fished the south side of the channel out by the red/white marker.Never had much confidence in gold but that was the hot harness.Used bb,harnesses,1.5mph and about 14 feet of water.Good luck to all.

10/9/2009 · I don’t know about the dumping grounds in Lk Erie but the DG in Saint Clair was created when they dredged (dynamited) the det river. A good portion of the Detroit river was shallow rapids made of rock. after they broke up the rock they dumped it in a designated area hence the dumping grounds. Ed Michrina, Oct 9, 2009.
