12/13/2012 · I decided to start a poll to find out if anyone has Vt-D enabled and working with a CPU that supports Vt-D. Now, before you click enabled, after looking at a LOT of Intel CPU’s, it seems that the K versions do not support Vt-D. With that said, it doesn’t matter if you have it.
Use the Intel (R) VT-d option to enable or disable Intel Virtualization Technology for Directed I/O (VT-d) on a Virtual Machine Manager (VMM). If you are not using a hypervisor or an operating system that supports this feature, it is not necessary to set the Intel (R).

2/12/2014 · As for Intel they should not sell locked retail processors nor disable VT-D. Charge a premium for faster, better binned versions of said processors all day long. That would be acceptable. But its all about squeezing every last dime from consumers. If AMD could become more competitive things would change and quick.
